When creating one's character, it is important to keep a few guidelines in mind.
1) Keep it reasonable. Don't make your character able to lift shit up and throw it into orbit, grow tentacles in place of his arms, conjure up unicorns to slay his enemies... you get the idea. Obviously there will be some interesting things to encounter, but try to keep it simple for your fresh characters.
2) Try to be original. Somewhat derivative characters are ok, but we don't need seven Master Chiefs, a Gordon Freeman squad and like two Hitlers kicking around.
3) Refer to rules 1 and 2.
If you have an idea for a character but aren't sure if it violates these guidelines, feel free to PM an administrator. If it works, we'll give you the go-ahead, but if not, we'll help you work it into something usable.
